Testimonials

Beautiful location with a wonderful garden.

Fabrizio is a very kind and helpful host. But be warned, he speaks mostly Italian, so keep Google Translate handy. We spent two wonderful weeks here with another family (4 adults and 4 children in total). The garden is a gift, with a lovely lawn for playing with the kids, and of course, the pool and ping pong table. There are also several seating areas throughout the property, including a large table where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner. By car, you can usually reach charming towns and cities like Siena in 30 minutes.

Fantastic stay, highly recommended for large families

The location is amazing and the house has all the comfort you would want for a large family, we were with 9 adults and 2 small children. The kitchen equipment is sufficient and towels are provided. large shaded spaces for breakfast/dinner and barbecue ready to make fire. The cars are parked under a roof. Super large and clean pool, hot tub and large garden for games. Also offers a ping pong table and a table football. No need to leave the estate, only to do the shopping. Good and large grocery stores nearby. We were all very satisfied and recommend it to everyone. During our stay Italy had a holiday of its own and some restaurants nearby were closed. But it was a good reason to visit some beautiful historical places looking for places to eat, and of course we found many.

Villa with incredible location

Amazing villa to relax with family with very friendly owner

Very nice villa in a very nice location. The owner (who lives in the other part of the house) is very friendly and does his best to ensure you have a perfect stay. The swimming pool is excellent, the garden is beautiful and the house has been renovated in the original Tuscan style. A perfect place to stay if you are looking for some truly relaxing days with the family. There is also table tennis, a nice playground for children and some training equipment (treadmills, etc.). Siena and Florence within 1h – but we decided to stay only in the villa and by the pool, as it was so relaxing to be there!

Beautiful location

The villa is situated in a beautiful setting with flowers in bloom

The villa is situated in a beautiful setting with flowers in bloom, gorgeous plants and vines, and a walnut grove. The pool provided a wonderful family experience when we weren’t traveling. Fabrizio and Sueli are wonderful people and Sueli has a menu that you can order from that provides you with a wonderful Tuscan culinary experience. The surrounding area has spectacular vistas all within a short distance. We rented a car and visited a new village or city every day We enjoyed Foiano della Chiana; it’s people, views, shopping, and it’s food.

Beautiful villa with swimming pool

We stayed 10 days in this beautiful Tuscan style villa. The swimming pool and garden are large and we spent pleasant and relaxing hours even under the pergola and in the whirlpool. The house is spacious, elegant and stylish, the kitchen is fully equipped, we have not lacked anything. We also had two bbqs of fabulous Tuscan meat in the garden. The area is central and very convenient for visiting the magnificent region of Tuscany. We will definitely be back.

Spectacular Villa

Spectacular villa, very welcoming details taken care of, our group stayed for 4 days in the period of the end of the year. Owner available for every request.
Going in the winter, you lose a 50% of the entire structure, not being able to use the pool and the large garden, but despite this I highly recommend it. The property also offers the possibility of using the sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as table tennis and darts.

highly recommend

Stunning place to stay, a little dated but the gardens and the pool made up for it, we spent 80% of our time outside Not a lot of local restaurants but some great visits to Pisa , Siena and Florence gave us plenty of options . All in all we had an amazing time at the villa with great friends -great food and wine and amazing weather , highly recommend.

The villa and gardens were excellent

My family rented Villa Portoverde (2 adults/3 children) and it was perfect. We could have easily added another family to join us as there is lots of space. The Villa and grounds were excellently maintained and we took full advantage (Foosball, Bocci, and the pool!). We did our own cooking, but wish we took advantage of Fabrizio’s wife who is a certified Chef – at least for 1 evening. It was very easy to walk to the village, Foiano della Chiana – where we explored the local market, buying fresh breads, fruits & vegetables. With the central location it was very easy to explore other great Tuscan locations (San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and Montalcino). There was so much more within reach, but we decided on a balanced vacation. It was perfect. Like having a resort to yourself. Fabrizio is a great host. He explained things well and was easily available if needed. Thank you Fabrizio

We all love the villa!

The villa was splendid, everything was perfect in order. We are very satisfied. We can recommand it.

Really gorgeous

The time runs so quickly and seems it was yesterday we have returned from the splendid vacation we had at your place in Foiano Della Chiana.
I can simply say it was a marvelous vacation in splendid place that I would recommend to anyone that has a big family or group of close friends. The house & It’s beautiful interiors give an excellent comfort & necessary privacy even for a group of 12 people. The veranda & terraces on the ground floor allow any kind of gathering in smaller or bigger groups. The pool and the spacious garden allow perfect relax after the long excursions that are simply a “must” once  someone is in Tuscany. Really gorgeous! I’d like to recommend your place to people with kids, since various sport activities available at the villa as well as in near sports complex allow bigger groups to plan their time in perfect harmony with the needs of relax, sightseeing or any other activity at open air.
Our special thanks go to Ivana & Graziella that with their marvelous culinary talent & hospitality made our evenings unforgettable from the side of culinary culture Tuscany can offer. They’ve strongly contributed in our believe that Tuscan food & and wine are irresistible!

Wonderful family vacation

Dreaming holiday

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our two daughters. The villa is large with a very nice kitchen and living area on the first floor, two bedrooms and bathroom on second floor (the master bedroom is quite large and has a balcony with a great view of the city), and two bedrooms and bathroom on third floor. The pool and surrounding grounds are gorgeous, which you can see from the pictures. There is a nice seating area outside, and another nice area for eating outside with a long table which will seat many. We enjoyed our dinners here many evenings. The location is very convenient to visiting the area. I highly recommend this property.

We’ll came back in the future

Our villa stay was magic! The villa itself is really well set up, and the grounds are beautiful. It is a fantastic venue for a group of families. There are 3 different long tables where you can all meet to dine. We used the outdoor one located under the pergola the most. This venue is heaven for kids. With the pool, jacuzzi, sauna fussball, table tennis, badminton etc there was always something to do. Fabrizio & Sueli are the hosts and having them on site was helpful. Neither of them speak much English and we didn’t speak Italian, but that was never an issue. They were always friendly and helpful. Sueli is a trained chef and gave the kids an Italian cooking lesson, which was awesome. I can highly recommend this venue. We all enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future.

A dream wedding, everything was perfect

The title of this review sums up our wedding, and it’s thanks in part to Villa PortoVerde in Foiano della Chiana. I’d learned about this venue thanks to a dinner they’d organized there, so we contacted the owner, Fabrizio, to evaluate it for our wedding. We immediately found him kind and helpful, so we had no hesitation, and today we’re truly happy. The villa was super tidy and clean. Despite its simplicity, it remains extremely elegant. The garden is very large and allowed us to have a wonderful aperitif. The covered structure allowed us to eat comfortably. All our guests complimented us. A beautiful place that gave us some wonderful moments!

The Ideal Place for a Wedding

Mattia, Wedding Date: September 14, 2025

We chose Villa Porto Verde as the venue for our wedding on September 6, 2025. We must say it was a truly excellent choice. The villa was meticulously designed down to the smallest detail, taking on an even more magical atmosphere as evening falls. The play of light in the garden, the pool, everything was meticulously crafted, from the lawn to the statues and fountains. It was ideal for a summer wedding. We dined in the (very large) outdoor marquee and took advantage of the enormous garden to dance and party all night. It has ample parking for our guests. The owner was always very helpful and made every effort to accommodate our needs. We slept at the venue itself after the party, which has some very beautiful, clean rooms with a vintage touch that truly conveys the atmosphere of a classic Tuscan villa. The bathrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

Dream villa! (Wedding Reception)

Dream villa!
Wedding date: 07/27/2024

We contacted the owner of the villa a year before, and he was available right away, together with his wife they take care of the villa and the garden impeccably. The marquee is wonderful, there were 175 of us, in the garden we had an aperitif, cut the cake and celebrated after dinner, there was a magical atmosphere, they even thought of putting lights in the garden to make our day even more beautiful. My husband and I spent the first night there in the villa, in a wonderful apartment! We couldn’t have chosen better!

Fairytale Wedding (Wedding Reception)

Fantastic villa, equipped with everything, it lacks nothing, very kind and helpful owners, what can I say? If you want a fairytale wedding, Villa Portoverde is the right one.. Thank you so much again for everything.

Little gem in the countryside (Wedding Reception)

We chose this location because it is a town hall used for civil ceremonies and because it offers two distinct spaces for the ceremony and reception. Let me explain, the woods behind the villa, usually used as a parking lot, were “customized” to our desire by our wp and its suppliers to become a “wood” in the “woods” where we celebrated the civil ceremony and then our guests simply had to move a few steps to the garden area to continue the celebrations with an aperitif and dinner under the marquee (which the villa is equipped with). For us, everything was perfect and well-kept.

A fairytale wedding (wedding reception)

We got married on Saturday 24 June 2023. The location is wonderful and cared for in every detail. The owner is super helpful and professional. I would really recommend it to all newlyweds who love to create an elegant and intimate event.

Perfect Location! (wedding reception)

Perfect location!

We got married at villa Portoverde on 5 September 2020. Beautiful place a stone’s throw from Foiano, large garden with swimming pool, very well kept and suitable for receptions such as weddings. There is a covered and closable tensile structure on the sides, with a capacity of about 250 people. Ample parking, kitchen for external catering and a small playground for children. Excellent quality – price. Our guests enjoyed the location very much. We were fully satisfied, and highly recommend it!

Perfect Location (Wedding reception)

We immediately fell in love with the villa. The beautiful and well-kept garden with swimming pool.
It was the perfect location for our wedding. Large but cozy where all the guests felt close to the bride and groom.
Also suitable for weddings with children having a small playground.
The tensile structure is simply wonderful and well maintained, like everything else.
Thanks to Fabrizio and his wife for their kindness and courtesy.

The garden and the pool offered a nice background to our photos (Wedding)

We met very well at Villa Portoverde, both for the location, and for the kindness of the owners. It offers the possibility and the space for an outdoor ceremony or inside the tensile structure. The garden and the pool offered a nice background to our photos. Convenient and with ample parking. Happy with our choice

Elegant and sober environment (Wedding reception)

It was possible to create a reception for 200 people, enjoying an adequate and well-distributed space, in an elegant and sober environment. The owners of the villa were extremely available for every need.

I recommend everyone this place (wedding reception)

We got married on August 5, 2017 and the location choice was more than adequate! The Villa is located in a strategic position, it offers a lot of space, beauty and attention to details. It is well organized for this kind of event, even in the case of rain. The owner is professional and available to suit the needs. I recommend to all this place not only for a wedding but also for other parties.

Highly recommended (wedding reception)

Great location with details that make a difference, such as the fountain. Very nice and very helpful owners, possibilities for growth and even more attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money (wedding reception)

It is a well-groomed and very flexible location for outdoor receptions having its own kitchen and gazebo roof covering for at least 220 people. We also enjoyed the price compared to other location views. Very nice and helpful the owner and her lady. Excellent value for money.
